The National Council of SADA met on the 7th and 8th of March. A very productive meeting was held. Dr Zanemvula Khasa of the Border-Kei branch was elected president for the next year. The new COO of SADA Ms Maretha Smit attended her first meeting of the National Council and was a great asset. Her expertise will be invaluable in the future. The focus on value for the members of the Association will be a major drive in the times ahead to address the many issues the profession is faced with.
The AGM was held on the evening of the 7th of March. A governance model for the Association was revealed to those present and a roadshow will be embarked on to get feedback and suggestions with regard to a governance model for the future. There will no doubt be suggestions, modifications and tweaks that will be necessary. Once this has been refined and voted uponby the membership, it will then be instituted.
